Malaysia is hosting two Asian sub-regional qualifiers on the route to the 2028 men’s T20 World Cup. The International Cricket Council announced on 2 October that the events would run from 5 to 14 October 2026.
Thirteen teams are taking part across the two competitions, with 36 matches scheduled at three venues. Each event uses a single round-robin format, meaning teams meet the other sides in their group.
The top three teams from each qualifier are due to advance to the next stage of Asian qualification in 2027. These matches therefore decide six progression places, rather than direct places at the World Cup itself.
