West Indies beat India by six wickets in the second Twenty20 international in Ranchi on 9 October. Chasing a target of 250, the visitors finished on 252 for four with nine balls remaining, after India had made 249 for five.
Captain Shai Hope scored an unbeaten 102 from 45 balls, while Sherfane Rutherford contributed 84 from 37. Their batting helped West Indies recover after losing two wickets in the opening over. Sanju Samson had earlier made 82 from 41 balls for India.
The result brought the series level at one win each. The teams were scheduled to move to Indore for the third match on 11 October, with the remaining fixtures in Hyderabad and Bengaluru later in the month.
