HDFC Bank reported standalone net profit of about Rs 19,510 crore for the September quarter on 17 October, an increase of roughly 5% from a year earlier. The result covers the second quarter of the 2026–27 financial year.
Net interest income rose 9.7% to about Rs 34,620 crore, according to the Economic Times report. This measure captures interest earned after deducting interest paid. The bank reported a net interest margin of 3.16% on total assets.
Its gross non-performing loan ratio eased to 1.11% from 1.17% in June, while the net ratio fell to 0.37%. The Saturday announcement came after Friday’s market close, so that earlier share price was not a reaction to these results.
